2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 UNBOXING Review – It’s More Than A Muscle Car

Many have been asking for this unboxing review and here it is – the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350. Oh, where to begin? For starters, Ford developed an engine specifically for this track-focused muscle car, a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft. Believe it or not, this is a very similar engine design that Ferrari used for the 458 Italia. Total output is a beautiful 526 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. All of that power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission that Ford also specifically uses only for the Shelby GT350. Performance? Try 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds and a quarter mile sprint of 12.5 seconds at 117 mph. But what we loved about the Shelby GT350 is that it’s also a wonderful daily driver. High performance and excellent track abilities combined with good road manners? Sounds like BMW M’s formula to us, and perhaps the Shelby GT350 is the M4’s latest rival.
