Jay Leno’s Garage And The 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud Derelict
ICON President, Jonathan Ward, stops by Jay Leno’s Garage to show him his latest Derelict, a 1958 Roll Royce Silver Cloud that is sporting a 550hp LS7. I love the build but I think it’s a pity it doesn’t have a Rolls Royce L series engine under the hood. I’m sure it wouldn’t have been hard, or expensive, to find one of those, and they take very well to turbocharging. But I get why the LS is a good choice because it’s a crate engine that comes with a warranty… Building a car according to Australian design rules, Respect! Our registration laws are second only to Germanys TuV in terms of complexity and ludditeism . Especially Victorians. Also getting a car imported that has been modified overseas often cannot be registered if the mods were done after 1986. I did say the rules are stupid?
